Constructed in 1955, Motonosumi Shrine has quickly become one of the region's most breathtaking coastal landmarks. A winding path framed by 123 vivid red torii gates cascades dramatically down green hillsides toward the crashing waves of the Sea of Japan. Visitors can walk the scenic oceanfront corridor and test their luck by tossing coins into an unusually high offertory box perched atop the final gate. The striking contrast between the vermilion shrines, lush headlands, and deep blue sea offers an unforgettable visual experience.
