WEB FRAME at Iidabashi Station

劉佳儒 via Google Maps

Designed by visionary architect Makoto Sei Watanabe, "WEB FRAME" is an algorithmic masterwork weaving an intricate web of fluorescent green pipes across the ceiling of Iidabashi Station. Generated via custom computer software, the complex network symbolizes the tangled transit and communication systems powering the metropolis while evoking the greenery of nearby Koishikawa-Kōrakuen Garden. Commuters descending into the Toei Ōedo Line are treated to a surreal, sci-fi atmosphere that turns an everyday subway commute into an avant-garde visual experience. Don't miss the station's striking leaflike ventilation tower emerging above ground at Exit C3.
