Located in the leafy expanse of Yumenoshima Park, this poignant memorial exhibition houses the preserved hull of the Daigo Fukuryu Maru (Lucky Dragon No. 5), a fishing vessel showered with radioactive ash during a 1954 Bikini Atoll test. The incident shook the world, galvanizing the global anti-nuclear movement and directly inspiring the opening scenes of the original 1954 Godzilla movie. Alongside the battered ship, exhibits document the crew's harrowing ordeal and the dangers of atomic weapons. An outdoor marker also commemorates the hundreds of tons of irradiated tuna buried nearby to prevent public contamination.
