Born from the creative redevelopment of a former military base, Faret Tachikawa transforms a bustling commercial district into a vibrant, free open-air museum. Spread across the neighborhood are 109 whimsical public artworks created by 92 international artists, cleverly integrated into everyday street furniture, bollards, and ventilation shafts. Wandering the streets reveals surreal highlights ranging from an enormous scarlet flowerpot and neon-lit bicycle displays to vivid tribal sculptures.
