Ryuzu Waterfall

blackheartblack via Google Maps

Located just upstream from Lake Chuzenji, Ryuzu Waterfall earned its name—meaning 'dragon head waterfall'—from the twin torrents flanking a central rock that resembles a mythical beast. The surrounding forest explodes into brilliant hues of crimson and gold in early autumn, making it one of the region's earliest and most celebrated fall foliage spots. Visitors can admire the rushing waters from a scenic viewing deck at the rest house or take a peaceful stroll along the riverside walking trail to appreciate the lush alpine scenery.
