Ranked among Japan's top three most beautiful waterfalls, Kegon Falls cascades a dramatic 97 meters down a rugged volcanic cliff within Nikko National Park. Fed by the pristine waters of Lake Chuzenji, the main torrent is framed by twelve smaller side falls that weave through the surrounding rock face. Visitors can take a special elevator down to the base observation deck for an up-close, thunderous view of the mist and sheer power of the falls. Beautiful in every season, it becomes exceptionally breathtaking amidst autumn foliage and when partially frozen in deep winter.
