Constructed over five years by a local acupuncturist inspired by a vivid dream, this towering concrete statue depicting Yakushi Nyorai, the Buddha of Healing, stands taller even than the Great Buddha of Nara. Known for its quirky, slightly off-kilter proportions and earnest charm, it was originally built to bring solace to the community following World War II. Today, the colossal figure sits serenely beside an acupuncture clinic framed by cherry blossom trees, offering an unforgettable sight from the nearby Meitetsu Inuyama train line. It remains one of Aichi's most delightful and unexpected roadside oddities.
