Standing proudly before Kanazawa Station, the 13.7-meter-tall Tsuzumi-mon Gate is a breathtaking celebration of regional heritage and modern design. Inspired by the traditional hand drums used in Kaga-Hosho Noh theater, its soaring spiral pillars frame the station's plaza alongside the sprawling, glass-domed Motenashi Dome. Especially spectacular when illuminated at night, the gate doubles as an architectural snow guard and ventilation tower. It offers travelers an iconic, warm welcome to the historic city as soon as they step off the train.
