Perched on the rocky shores of the Pacific Ocean, Rokkakudo is a striking hexagonal pavilion conceived in 1905 by influential art scholar Okakura Tenshin. Designed as an inspiring retreat for creative contemplation, it offers breathtaking vistas of crashing waves and rugged coastal scenery. Though swept away during the 2011 tsunami, this cultural landmark was faithfully reconstructed in 2012 in its original style. Today, visitors can experience the tranquil atmosphere and deep historical legacy of one of modern Japan's foundational art pioneers.
