Lake Shojiko

Tucked serenely between Lake Motosuko and Lake Saiko, Lake Shojiko is the smallest and least developed of the famed Fuji Five Lakes. Formed when ancient lava flows divided a prehistoric body of water, it still shares underground waterways with its neighboring lakes at an elevation of 900 meters. Visitors can escape the crowds to enjoy a refreshingly wild atmosphere ideal for camping, canoeing, and landscape photography. The quiet shoreline provides some of the most captivating, mirror-like reflections of Mount Fuji found anywhere in the region.
